Who are Aladin Tours?
Aladin Tours is a small Luxor agency run by the El-Sahabi family, who also run the Nefertiti Hotel and the Al-Sahaby Lane restaurant in the old town near Luxor Temple. The tour desk sits on the hotel's second floor. Its tourHQ profile says the agency started in 2002 to arrange excursions for hotel guests; it now sells Luxor tours, Nile cruises, desert trips and multi-day itineraries around Egypt.
The aladintour.com website states a Ministry of Tourism license, number 1488. In the Egyptian Travel Agents Association index, license 1488 is a Category A company registered on 9 June 2006 under another trading name — Magic Carpet Travel — with its address in the Sahabi building on Luxor Temple Street, second floor. Same building, same floor: that's consistent with Aladin's claim, though we have not confirmed the link with the company itself. The site also mentions IATA and ETAA membership; we couldn't verify the IATA claim.
What Aladin Tours charges in Luxor
The clearest prices are on the hotel website's tour page, per person, in USD. The page is undated and entry fees are extra on every tour.
| Tour | What you see | 1 person | 2 people (each) | Shared (each) | Tickets included? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| East Bank, from 3 pm | Karnak, Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum | $50 | $25 | $18 (no museum) | No |
| West Bank half day 1 | Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Colossi | $70 | $40 | $25, max 12 people | No |
| West Bank half day 2 | Medinet Habu, Nobles' tombs, Deir el-Medina | $70 | $45 | $25 for groups of 4–12 | No |
| Highlights of Luxor, from 7 am | Both banks with lunch stop | $120 | $65 | $40 | No |
Transport is a tourist van with an English-speaking Egyptology guide; the second West Bank tour lists French, German, Spanish and Italian too. These are low prices for a private guide and vehicle — add entry tickets, which our tickets guide lists site by site.
The newer aladintour.com site shows "from" prices such as $13 for a Dendera half day and $25 for a balloon flight. Those are too low to be a full per-person price, so treat them as a starting point and ask for a written quote.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Some of the lowest published private prices in Luxor
- License number shown on its site, and it matches a Luxor Category A entry at the same address
- Shared departures for solo travelers on a budget
- West Bank tour to Medinet Habu and Deir el-Medina that many operators skip
Cons
- Prices exclude all entry tickets
- Hotel-site price list is undated; the newer site shows unrealistic "from" prices
- No platform listing, so no third-party refund route
- The license is under a different trading name, which adds a step to checking it
Verdict
Our score: 3.8 / 5. Aladin Tours suits independent travelers who want a local family business, low prices and the option to change the day. Its license claim lines up with the official index, which counts for a lot. It loses points for prices that are undated or unrealistic on its newer site, and for having no platform listing — your protection is the 30% deposit rule and your own written confirmation.

Questions travellers ask
Where is Aladin Tours in Luxor?
Its office is on the second floor of the Nefertiti Hotel on Sahabi Street, off Karnak Temple Street in the old center, with views over Luxor Temple. The hotel, the Al-Sahaby Lane restaurant and the tour agency are all run by the same family, the El-Sahabis.
Is Aladin Tours licensed?
Its website states Ministry of Tourism license number 1488. In the Egyptian Travel Agents Association index, license 1488 is a Category A company registered on 9 June 2006 under a different trading name, Magic Carpet Travel, at the Sahabi building on Luxor Temple Street — the same building. That's consistent with the claim, though we have not confirmed the link with the company itself.
How much does Aladin Tours charge?
The price list on the hotel's website gives the full-day Highlights of Luxor at $120 for one person, $65 a person for two and $40 a person on a shared trip. A half-day West Bank tour is $70 for one or $40 a person for two. Entry fees are not included. The list is undated, so confirm current prices in writing.
What is Aladin Tours' cancellation policy?
Its terms say a 30% deposit confirms a booking and is refunded in full if you cancel at least three days before your arrival date. The balance is paid in cash to the tour representative before the tour, or online through a payment link on request.
Is Aladin Tours on GetYourGuide?
We found no Aladin Tours listings in the GetYourGuide, Headout and Tiqets feeds we compare. Booking is by email, phone, WhatsApp or through its own website, so platform protection doesn't apply.
